1st night in the old house...

Yesterday was crazy busy non-stop (but what day isn't anymore?)

While waiting for my co-workers to show up, I loaded the SUV: 2 t.v.'s, VCR, cable equipment, all the couch pillows, etc.

Load 27: Electronics & couch pillows

My co-worker & friend, DB, showed up about 8:30 am and got the Malibu jump started as it died from sitting so long with inactivity. I let it run while we loaded up his truck.

Load 28 - 29: furniture

The Boss showed up and we brought:

Load 30 - 32: furniture

Load 33: twin bed went to daughters

Load 34: King size bed came to mama

Load 35: washer & dryer (yay!)

The Boss had to leave for a Fresno State game. I went & picked up lunch. DB & I sat on the front porch & ate our lunch & it was awesome. There was a nice cool breeze blowing & we sat there imagining what it must of been like 100 years ago.

He tried unsuccessfully to remove that darn realtor code box from the door. (I sent a not-so-nice email to the owner of the real estate agency on Friday and told him that 'word of mouth can be a ones greatest or worst asset'. Let him think about that all weekend. Humph (do you know humph actually showed up in spell check when I spelled it wrong? Just saying...)

We had to make a run to Kmart for a longer drier vent hose & longer gas line. I am so very glad DB knows how to install hot water heaters because all those lines were way beyond my expertise. I actually am now the owner of a plumbers wrench. Let's hope I never have to use it.

I went and picked up my oldest daughter & we put some books away & rearranged some furniture. Also made the King size bed, which I am so happy to have again.

After DB finished with the laundry room stuff we sat on the couch & just visited for awhile.

Warning: if you have an impressionable toddler, do NOT, I repeat do NOT watch 'Meet the Fockers' lol You know what I'm talking about... she kept saying 'ass hole' just like the little boy in the movie. We were rolling on the floor laughing. DB almost had a coronory he laughed so hard.

Later on, I got cleaned up & my daughter, the baby & I went to town to pick up a few things. It's amazing what you realize you need while moving. Afterwards, I dropped her off at home & went and picked up another load.

Load 36: bathroom items (makeup, hair products, etc)

I took my very 1st shower in my new/old house and realized the shower head has to go. It trickled the entire time, yikes. So, Orchard Supply is on the list of things to do today. And the list is long, I tell ya. I need to mow the rental really really bad, as it's starting to look like a mini jungle in the front yard. lol I also need to bring the rest of the kitchen over. And start on the garage. There are about 20 of those big plastic containers in the garage. That may wait until next weekend... cause I still have 13 more days to finish moving & clean the rental. :)

P.S. Victoria - no ghost scared me in the middle of the night, yay!
P.S.S. - I'm using the wireless internet on my laptop... should save $25 a month and just use this entirely. Thank you Library for the free connection.
P.S.S.S. - sorry this post is rambling & incoherent. I'm tired. Nuff said. :)
