Customer Service
I work in the customer service field, so I know how important it is to not make people wait forever when they need service.
I was just online with Comcast for one hour and 15 minutes and I have an existing service! I signed up for everything I wanted and then to finish the process, I had to chat live with a representative. OMG, I gave him my account number and he kept asking the same questions over and over again.
I put on my makeup at my computer desk. Lovely.
Off to work... T.G.I.F.

This is so annoying!
ReplyDeleteMy record is waiting two hours for HP "technical" support, which apparently uses tin cans and string to connect to India, and is incapable of doing anything except arranging for things to be shipped back.
ReplyDeleteI am pausing briefly to remember when the GE Answer Center actually had knowledgeable people answer the phone on the first or second ring, and would walk you through repairs. The loss of that type of customer service and our manufacturing base is a major part of the decline and fall of U.S. civilization, in my opinion.
Jodi: Yes it is! lol
ReplyDeleteKaren Anne: Don't even get me started on Dell technical support... got some guy in a foreign country as well. He actually got rude with me when I asked him to repeat the instructions on how to install my hard drive. Now I know we can tell them we want an tech support person from the U.S.
