Moving makes me black & blue

Jewell's bedroom walls are made of cement or something, because it is extremely impossible to hammer a nail in. I found this out the hard way. I swung at the nail and the hammer bounced & hit my finger. *ouch!*

I'm sure it's going to look a lot worse tomorrow.

  2. Dang girl! Take it easy!

Some of our walls are original walls, and I have found that they are a combination of mesh wire and lathered cement.

If you go to the hardware store you can get drywall nails that grip better.

  3. Yikes. Maybe take a gram or so of vitamin C for awhile, thats supposed to make things heal faster.

I had an impenetrable wall in my old kitchen, I swear it must have been made out of solid metal or something. If I were dealing with that again, I'd try drilling a pilot hole and see if that would work.

  4. ouch! When we moved in to our house, it was my finger nails which suffered the most, with the scrubbing and heavy lifting etc. They seem a lot weaker than before...

  6. Thanks ladies: I am 'trying' to take it easy, but when I'm tired I get clumsy. lol

Why S: It's no telling what I'll look like next week huh? lol

Victoria: I do think that's what the walls are made of. Will have to get some better nails for when I hang my art in the living room and dining room.

Karen Anne: I Will definitely have to go get some Vitamin C. I ended up just using hot glue to put up all of her smaller decorations. Luckily, the dividing walls are normal and I could hang her large yellow and blue picture pictures.

Brismod: My hands are in horrible shape already! Split nails, extremely dry, etc. It's worth it though.

    Jodi: I'll try. I'm a clutz. lol
