So much to do...
So little time.
On Friday, my daughter and I moved over a few more loads.
Load 12: Craft room
Load 13: Craft room
Then we painted Jewell's room until 11:30 pm. It's going to be so bright and very Disney, can't wait to show photos. :)
Saturday morning, we were up bright and early. Took over some more loads.
Load 14 - 18: Storage room
After that, we both took showers and headed to the mall. I gave her $100 to spend for her birthday, and we both got haircuts & had lunch.
I found some really good draperies for my bedroom, at Ross of all places. I really love the shabby chic style, but Target no longer has the curtains I love. But, I found some pink striped curtains at Ross for $9.99 a package, which includes 2 panels. I walked out of Ross with about 6 bags full of wooden shoe racks, Welcome Friends sign, pillows, photo frames, etc. It was a lot of fun buying things for the house that isn't at Home Depot, Lowe's or OSH.
Time flies when your having fun... soon it was time to go home & shower. Then we were off to a company dinner. The General Manager retired and we had a yummy catered meal at the Holiday Inn. It's always a lot of fun seeing co-workers outside of work. A lot of the men are going to help me move my furniture next weekend. Yay! One of them told me it's supposed to rain next weekend though. It figures. I so love rain, because we only get it about 3 times a year... and it chooses to rain on the weekend I need to move furniture. Oh well, we'll just deal, I'm ready for some furniture at the new/old house.
After I drink my coffee, it's time to move over a few more loads & hopefully, finish painting Jewell's room. We are down to painting the door & window trims. I think it'll just be temporary though as we are painting over the yucky shiny paint that I'm not too fond off. The Behr Disney paint doesn't paint over shiny gloss paint so well. I also have to add some bling to her painted castle. :)
Will try and remember to take the camera today, and actually use it.

Can't wait to see the room!! Did you take before/after pics of the haircuts???
ReplyDeleteWow! Whole lots of transporting going on -- MOVE is a four-letter word though. :-)
ReplyDeleteBut, it will be fun to get all settled in. Enjoy!
Your wearing me out just talking about all this work!
ReplyDeleteI use Dutch Boy paint- its super thick and has a one coat guarantee.. you might try that. Also before painting if you get a fine grit sandpaper and just do a quick rubdown on the trim work it will make the paint grip a lot better.
I hope it doesn't rain on your furniture moving day. I hate that!
