Landscaping, Part One

Oh my, 5 1/2 hours of yard work kicked my a$$ today. I did get a lot accomplished though! My yard was starting to look like a jungle because of the rain. lol

The yard before... still trying to combat the gopher issue. grrr

another before

got the front of the house mowed and trimmed

then tackled the concrete border in front.. my intention was to 'straighten' it up, but omg, they are heavy... so that's a job for later when I have money to pay someone to do it.
I'm going to plant some flowers in the dirt area, once I get the other 50 feet dug up tomorrow. It was quite a job! Not to mention I kept getting bitten by ants.
 LH side of the yard

RH side of the yard

It goes on forever! Seriously.

pretty flowers to line the walkway

I'm going to plant more tomorrow

I landscaped the areas on both sides of the porch steps

  1. It's a lot of work, yes, but you're fortunate to have such a nice, big backyard. We have nothing - a strip that was cemented in when we got here. Now it's decked, but no grass. We can barely get 4 chairs back there for summer entertaining. Once you whip it into shape, you'll love your yard space.

  2. Oh, I wasn't complaining... I am grateful for my big yard. I do already love it.

  3. Your lawn is so green! It will look lovely with flowers and more greenery - so worth the effort, isn't it?

  4. Brismod, it's deceiving... lol the whole entire back part of the lawn is clover. No grass whatsoever, but it does look so pretty!

It is definitely worth the effort, I enjoy making it more pretty. :)
