A new/old home project

Ever since I got the RH side of the porch repaired, ALL I think about is the LH side.

It doesn't help that neighbors point out how crappy it looks. :( I've had comments from "Wow, that side looks great, too bad they couldn't fix the other side!" to "They did such a great job, why didn't they do all the bricks around the repair?"

I have an entire house of brick. The mason could not repair every brick mortar that looks bad, otherwise he'd by working on my house for weeks instead of 3 days. I wish I could afford the other side to be repaired, but it just isn't in the budget.

Soooo, to get my mind off of the bricks, I started working on the dining room again.

I haven't really worked on stripping paint since November 2010.

The main reason is because my daughter lives here with here with my grand-daughter and I don't want her inhaling the Citri-strip fumes. However, she goes to her dad's house all day on Sundays.
So, today I lathered on the Citri-strip and removed the paint from one of the built in cabinets that separates the living and dining rooms.

This is about 5 hours of work. Stripping paint is not for sissies... and I gotta tell you, 105 year old splinters hurt more. They really do!
